{"id":4428,"date":"2026-03-14T14:54:48","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T18:54:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mivado.com\/mgp\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=4428"},"modified":"2026-04-19T19:43:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T23:43:25","slug":"data-migration-specialist","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/mivado.com\/mgp\/jobs\/data-migration-specialist\/","title":{"rendered":"Data Migration Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]The Data Migration Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of critical pharma data, including lab results, quality records, SOPs, batch logs, equipment data, and historical documents.<\/p>\n<p>This role ensures accuracy, integrity, compliance, and traceability throughout the migration process, enabling clients to transition smoothly from paper-based or legacy systems to modern digital solutions.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>_ Conduct detailed assessments of existing data sources (paper, Excel, legacy LIMS\/QMS\/MES systems).<\/li>\n<li>_ Identify data structures, formats, gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues.<\/li>\n<li>_ Develop data migration strategies, mapping documents, and timelines.<\/li>\n<li>_ Collaborate with domain experts to understand regulatory and operational requirements.<\/li>\n<li>_ Extract data from multiple sources, including scanned documents, spreadsheets, databases, and legacy applications.<\/li>\n<li>_ Clean, normalize, and transform data to meet Customer requirements.<\/li>\n<li>_ Build and execute data import templates, scripts, or low-code workflows.<\/li>\n<li>_ Ensure data integrity, completeness, and traceability throughout the migration process.<\/li>\n<li>_ Perform data validation checks before, during, and after migration.<\/li>\n<li>_ Work with QA teams to ensure compliance with GxP, CSV, and audit requirements.<\/li>\n<li>_ Document validation results and support IQ\/OQ\/PQ activities related to data migration.<\/li>\n<li>_ Work closely with implementation specialists, domain experts, and customer success teams.<\/li>\n<li>_ Participate in client workshops to clarify data requirements and expectations.<\/li>\n<li>_ Provide technical guidance to clients on preparing and cleaning their data.<\/li>\n<li>_ Maintain detailed documentation of data mapping, transformation rules, and migration procedures.<\/li>\n<li>_ Prepare migration reports, audit trails, and compliance documentation.<\/li>\n<li>_ Track issues, risks, and resolutions throughout the migration lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>_ Train client teams on best practices for data preparation.<\/li>\n<li>_ Provide post-migration support to ensure data accuracy and user confidence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Skills &amp;
